About Estepona Golf   The Golf Factor

Estepona Golf is a 18 hole par 72 golf course and one of the most popular courses on the Costa del Sol. It is located just a few kilometers West of Estepona, off the N-340 coast road at km 150. The golf course is privately owned and the owner’s policy is to concentrate on visiting golfers as a "pay as you play" course.
The design uses the natural landscape which is set against the Sierra Bermeja mountain range and enjoys sea views from most parts of the course. The fairways are wide and the greens large which provides a challenge for players of all levels but does not penalize the average golfer.
Playing the front nine, golfers have the pleasure to play the longest hole in Spain, the third hole, a par 5 called the Ski Run which measures 568 metres from the white tees. There are many palm, eucalyptus and wild olive trees on the course and players have a great opportunity to enjoy many rare species of wildlife, particularly on the second half.

Estepona Golf opened in 1989. It is privately owned and the owners concentrate on visiting golfers as a “pay as you play” course. The course is located on the inland side of the N340 main coastal road at km 150, just one mile from Estepona town centre. Considerable improvements have been made to the course and amenities over the years which has turned Estepona Golf into one of the most popular courses along the coast.

Golfers can enjoy great sea and mountain views from most parts of the course. Estepona Golf provides a challenge for players of all levels. Playing the front nine, golfers have the pleasure to play the longest hole in Spain, the third hole, a par 5 called the Ski Run which measures 568 metres from the white tees.

• There are over sixty golf courses in Andalucía, more than half of which are on the Costa del Sol, hence it is often referred to as the "Costa del Golf".
• The unique climate makes it an attraction all year round.
• The concentration of quality golf courses, combined with the unique sunny and warm winter climate, make it unrivalled as a winter golf destination for northern Europeans.
• Important events such as The Ryder Cup have been hosted in the coast (in Valderrama, 1997), as well as the Volvo Masters tournaments.
• For the Northern European golfer who is frustrated by the cold, unplayable winters in their own homes, the constantly improving courses in the Costa del Sol are an almost irresistible temptation
